HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAYDEN!
We finally celebrated his first birthday on Friday, September 11. Family and friends were able to celebrate wih us. His cake was a Tonka Truck theme, he had his very own cake too, and he LOVED every bite! He wasn't shy at all about diving right in, and even shared some with his big sisters and grandpa. We had so much fun watching him! (Cleaning him up is another story.) Between every bite he was muttering "nummmmm". I think he might just like chocolate!

Grayden has been walking for about 2 months now, and is figuring out how to climb. Nothing is safe any more, he will move things to climb up on them, and is jabbering alot in his own language. He does say "mom, dad, ash, num, this, and hot". He loves to play with his big sisters and they enjoy him too. He has 4 teeth with a few more that will be coming in any day now. Why do they have to grow so fast?

Grayden had been outside playing and had dirt everywhere, so instead of having a bath in the big tub, mommy just put him in the sink! Thanks Grandma Call for teaching mommy this little trick, we had fun, and the kitchen floor got mopped too!

Here's Kalyn's green hands, she really really wants to be in wicked!

Ok, so August has turned into a nightmare! On Friday, August 14, Kalyn and some friends went to Pineview Dam to swim and swing on the rope swing. On her first swing she fell from 20 feet and landed in about one foot of water on her hands and knees. After a very long ambulance ride to ORMC, several xrays, and 3 1/2 hours of surgery this is how she looked on Saturday. Two shattered wrists, a fractured ankle and many bruises and scrapes. When Ryan and I got the phone call, time stopped, we didn't know how bad she was hurt, who was with her, or the fastest way to help her. It was awful to feel so helpless. Ry stayed with her all night the first night, she was hurting so much she cried, and for all of you who know Kalyn, she doesn't cry - ever. The next night was a little better and then on the third, Grandpa Bob came and stayed with her so her dad could get some sleep. We brought her home on Monday, with a wheel chair, a platform walker and an order for physical therapy. She will probably miss the first 2 weeks of school and will have to have one more surgery to remove the plate, pin, and screws from her right wrist. She will be in casts for the next 8 weeks at least, depending on how well she heals. Thanks to all our family and friends for your love, support, and prayers. We are so thankful to have her home.
